Quand les personnages de Disney s'invitent dans des lieux célèbres

Rich McCor est un artiste qui aime réaliser des silhouettes en papier. Sa dernière lubie : incruster des personnages Disney dans des lieux célèbres. C'est ainsi qu'on peut découvrir la silhouette du Bossu de Notre Dame sur une des tours de la célèbre cathédrale parisienne ou Peter Pan survoler Londres. Derrière une apparente simplicité, le travail de cet artiste est remarquable et les lieux font à chaque fois référence à l'histoire des personnages en papier qui sont intégrés. Nemo se retrouve donc logiquement avec l'opéra de Sydney pour corps. 

Pas uniquement l'univers Disney 

Si la dernière série de l'artiste se focalise sur des personnages de Disney, Rich McCor n'en est pas à son coup d'essai et il s'est déjà amusé à incruster des modèles en papier aux quatre coins de la planète comme l'attestent les clichés ci-dessous. 

 

After a short hike through four foot of snow (during which I got stuck in the snow whilst snapchatting the scenery to friends) I found this great vantage point. If you ever come out here, I thoroughly recommended finding this spot to watch the sun disappear behind the mountains as the lights in the town flicker on. The popularity of skiing is somewhat down to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He moved to the Alps in 1893 (the mountain air was prescribed to aid his wife’s health), and learnt to ski with the help of two local brothers. “You let yourself go,” he once wrote. “Getting as near to flying as any earthbound man can”. Doyle predicted that in the future hundreds of people would come to the Alps for “ski season”. Sometimes I'll have an idea for a photo but when I go to shoot it, the idea doesn't translate on camera. I thought this might be one of those occasions but back in Autumn, standing in the middle of the Champs-Élysées with my eye to the viewfinder, I realised it did work. So the moral of the story is "Always give it a go", or maybe it's "Don't stand in the middle of Parisian traffic, unless you have a banging idea for an Instagram snap". This is the iconic Spire rising up from the centre of Dublin. You might already know that Colin Farrell is from here, but Dublin gave Hollywood an even bigger star; Slats the lion. These are the insanely blue waters of the Blue Lagoon, a short boat trip away from Gozo. In 1999, not far from here, divers discovered what may be a megalithic underwater temple. One of the divers described “large boulders, that look man-made,”. He also saw “stone circles with rooms, and an avenue”. Rumours began spreading across the islands; was this lost city of Atlantis?
